Welcome to my 2023 Highlight Gallery. This gallery is specifically designed to highlight my versatility with Wedding and Engagement photography, full galleries can be found under 'clients' in my menu! I wanted to include some specific information for vendors about what it is like to work with me if you are looking to bring me on board as your second shooter OR looking to work on curated/styled wedding together.
As a second shooter my goal is to be flexible and ALWAYS to make the day a little bit easier for the lead photographer. I have been photographing for almost a decade, and photographing weddings for approximately 2 years now and truly understand that wedding photography is a totally different ball game! I am proud to say that over the last two years I have really started to find my groove with wedding photography but I am always seeking opportunities to learn from others I admire. I have done two mentorships that have taught me a lot about business and weddings. I work well as a teammate but also have the ability to take charge if things go haywire or if you need a brain break, rally the troops, take some behind the scenes, keep organized and work off a timeline! I am happy to take on designated tasks (photographing the groomsmen, candids of the guests and venue spaces, dancing photos, details, you name it!) I love sharing ideas and I love getting a handful of creative shots as well. Currently I shoot 35mm on a Canon r5 however I will be adding to my lens collection very soon. I enjoy providing the couple a 'highlight gallery' of approximately 135-150 images in my own editing style. I am willing to travel and have a reliable vehicle. I love getting to know other photographers and I am always willing to sneak away to grab us a drink at dinner!
I value the expertise and vision of the vendors I work with. I truly believe taking time to understand a vendor's vision and sharing ideas is the best way to grow as a photographer. Working with talented vendors allows me to bring my A game, push my boundaries, and has resulted in some of my all time favorite photos. This upcoming year I hope to work with new vendors, photographers and set up some of my own styled shoots. As a creative person I tend to have some big ideas (there is some cool content comin soon) but I also love stepping into someone else's vision as well! If you are a vendor and have an idea for a curated set, I'd love to hear about it & see what photo magic we can create.
As you may be able to tell each of my galleries are slightly varied in editing style. I do not use one single preset for all images and call it a day. In part this is due to the uniqueness of my clients and their wedding. All of the galleries have a slightly moody undertone, tend to stay true to color, and include black and white edits. Things I consider when developing a photo gallery include: the natural light, the season (this can affect the natural light and it definitely affects the colors), skin tones, and the vibe of my couple/vendors!
