A Retrospect

My very first blog post is an ode to all the photographs along the way that brought me to this stage in my life (and as a photographer.) It's more of a collection of my favorite and most cherished images than a blog post. Some of these images represent the support I've received from family and friends, other images transport me back to the exact moment and my feelings come flooding back. Many represent a period of growth I've experienced as a photographer! The biggest leap was changing my mind from 'hobbiest & amateur' to 'professional.' It can be hard to have faith in your path, but if there is one thing I believe it's ~fake it till you make it~ people! A huge part of that growth came from teaching film & photography to a bunch of goofy middle schoolers! I have always thought that photography is an art that has the power of transcendence. Coincidently this played into my opening lesson every year; photography has the ability to evoke emotion, provoke change, and imprint in the mind (of many) for years to come. These photos represent that to me! As you scroll through this 'Throwback Gallery' I hope you feel a spark of awe, creativity or joy!

When you think of your favorite image, what comes to mind? Moral of the story, I bet SOMETHING came to mind!
